Well, Christmas is over and now we really begin to get ready for our adventure. We have been looking into airfares........yikes..... looks like this will run around $3500 for the family for the flights. Then we are checking on supplemental insurance including emergency evacuation coverage, etc. Locally we will meet with a "travel doctor" who will give us our malaria meds, and get us updated on tetanus, hepatitis, etc.
Today I ordered a bunch of "playground" stuff to take with us so we can play with the kids while we are there. We got things like: soccer balls, kick balls, tug-of-war rope, "American footballs", a parachute, etc. For Christmas, the kids got new hiking boots and the boys got small flashlights.
We leave in 7 weeks! Yee-ha.
